"Ageless Youth & Eternal Life" (ongoing)
A couple of years ago I imagined a story... I turned a personal experience into an epic fairytale inspired by the Romanian folklore and the story called "TinereÈ›e fără bătrâneÈ›e È™i viață fără de moarte"/ "Youth without old age and life without death". Translating my feelings and experiences into stories has always been therapeutic for me. As I was deciding upon an art form to use, I thought "Why not give it the detailed and tactile nature of oil paintings, but also make it come to life in animated clips?". Bringing these two together would offer an immersive experience for the viewer, and the thought of that got me excited!
But this idea is also very challenging and, most likely, impossible... Nevertheless I will be exploring the possibilities of this story and this hybrid project as I go along. ​​
My first experiment with the idea of combining animation and oil painting started with this simple idea of the main character. A calm, quiet moment in her own world.
