Technique and Process
For this project I created 7 full-page illustrations and 8 spot illustrations for each chapter, together with the front and back cover illustrations.
The author wanted the book to be equally captivating for children and older audiences, so my job was to create visually captivating illustrations that were also grounded in history and realism. For each illustration I researched available historical data and chose to work fully digital - a process which resulted in 3-4 days of work for each image.
